Patra Ramli remains president of Kespems

KUCHING:
Sarawak Education Laboratory Assistant Union (Kespems) held here last
Tuesday its second triennial delegates conference (TDC) which saw its
president Patra Ramli retain his post for the 2014-2017 session.
A statement issued by the union yesterday revealed that the deputy president was Ellison Bundan, Rozni Abdul Aziz was appointed secretary and Irman Borhan, vice-secretary.
Ae’ashah Rambli and Norasihan Moli were appointed treasurer and assistant treasurer respectively.
Ordinary committee members are Khairul Najwa, Alfian Ismail, Rozita Alli, Linda Mijar, Bellin Ebang, Elius Masharif, Norlia Saadiah, Hishammudin Zain and Hardlin Joliam.
In his acceptance speech, Patra suggested the establishment of a Yayasan Kumpulan Makmal Sains (Science Laboratory
Group Foundation) for the Sarawak region.
Also present was state Congress of Union Employees in the Public and Civil Service (Cuepacs) secretary Ahmad Malie among some 50 union members.
Laboratory Workers’ Union (KSKM) secretary-general Ashaari Maarof who officiated at the event said Kuching had been chosen for the first time to host the 1Malaysia Laboratory Assistant Education Convention taking place this December.
Delegates from throughout the country are expected to attend the conference.
The TDC was held at Penview Inn on Sept 16.
